Project Name: Building Renovation/Addition, Harlem Building, New York, NY
Scope: Five story multi-family dwelling apartment building. (Four units)
The existing building consisted of four separate apartments. This scope of this renovation required the creation of three separate apartments from the original four.
The first level unit was expanded with a new addition at the rear of the building, and duplexed with the second level. Movable screens on the addition provide options for shielding sunlight during the various seasons and times of day. The screens also provide visual privacy.
The third level apartment was fully renovated. The fourth floor apartment was renovated and expanded with a roof addition, creating a new fifth floor. New roof decks were added to the front and rear of the building. The front façade has been cleaned and refurbished.
